Chain-agnostic and clearer language. The agreement was generalized to support Layer 2 networks and bridging assets across chains and moved to unbranded definitions (v3.4), making the same trust usable across multiple blockchains. Off-ramp language was clarified by replacing "burn" with "redeem" (v3.5), and the boundary between holding custody of a token and holding beneficial ownership was tightened (v3.6), giving owners and counterparties more predictable outcomes when tokens move between accounts and contracts.
