Mail Forwarding

Receive scanned property correspondence directly to your email.

When a property is on-ramped, the trust is assigned a physical mailbox. Counties and other parties send official correspondence to this address, and Fabrica forwards it to you electronically.

How It Works

  1. Mailbox Assignment: Each trust receives a dedicated physical mailing address
  2. Mail Collection: Official correspondence arrives at this address
  3. Scanning: Fabrica scans all received mail for the property
  4. Email Delivery: Scanned documents are forwarded to the current token holder's email

What You'll Receive

Common correspondence forwarded to property owners includes:

TypeDescription
Tax BillsProperty tax statements and payment notices
Assessment NoticesChanges to assessed property value
County CommunicationsOfficial notices from the local jurisdiction
Legal DocumentsAny legal correspondence addressed to the trust

Requirements

To receive forwarded mail:

  • Register an Account: Create an account on fabrica.land
  • Provide Email: Ensure your email address is up to date
  • Connect Your Wallet: Link the wallet holding your property token to your account

When a property transfers to a new owner, mail forwarding automatically routes to the new token holder (if they have a registered account).

Important Limitations

Mail forwarding is a convenience service, not a guarantee of receiving all property-related communications.

Counties may not send notices reliably:

  • Some jurisdictions don't mail tax bills consistently
  • Address changes may not be processed promptly
  • Notices can be delayed or lost in transit

Your responsibility:

  • Proactively track tax due dates for your property
  • Verify payment status directly with the county
  • Don't rely solely on receiving a mailed notice before paying

Property tax information is also included in your token's metadata and monitored by validators as part of confidence scoring. However, the ultimate responsibility for timely tax payment rests with the property owner.

Validator Service

Mail forwarding is provided as part of the Fabrica validator's services in the United States. Other validators operating in different jurisdictions may offer similar or alternative notification services.

See Validators for more information about validation services.
